TiviMate vs IPTV Smarters: Which Should You Use With Eagle IPTV?

TiviMate and IPTV Smarters Pro are the two apps our customers ask about most. Both work perfectly with Eagle IPTV, but they suit slightly different users.

If you mainly watch live channels on a TV, TiviMate's guide is hard to beat. If you also want to use Eagle IPTV on an iPhone or a laptop, IPTV Smarters gives you the same interface everywhere. Not sure? The devices page lists every compatible player.

What You Need

• Your Eagle IPTV credentials from WhatsApp: server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes), or an M3U playlist link.
• A compatible device — Firestick, Android TV, phone, tablet or computer.
• The player app installed. If you have not installed it yet, follow our guide on how to install Eagle IPTV on Firestick, Smart TV and Android.

How to Set Up Eagle IPTV in TiviMate

• Open TiviMate and choose Add playlist.
• Select Xtream Codes (recommended) — it loads channels, EPG and on-demand content automatically.
• Enter the server address exactly as it appears in your Eagle IPTV message, including http:// and the port number if present.
• Enter your username and password, then select Next.
• Give the playlist a name such as Eagle IPTV and select Done.
• Wait while TiviMate loads channels and the TV guide. The first load can take a minute.

Recommended TiviMate Settings

• Settings → EPG → Update on app start: On, so the guide stays current.
• Settings → Playback → Buffer size: Medium or Large if your connection fluctuates.
• Settings → Channels → Hide unwanted groups to keep the list tidy.
• Long-press a channel to add it to Favourites for quick access.

How to Set Up Eagle IPTV in IPTV Smarters Pro

• Open IPTV Smarters Pro and accept the terms.
• Choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
• Any name: type Eagle IPTV.
• Username and Password: enter the details from your activation message.
• Server URL: paste the address exactly as provided.
• Select Add User. The app downloads Live TV, Movies, Series and the EPG.

Recommended IPTV Smarters Settings

• Settings → Player Selection: try the built-in player first; switch to VLC if a stream stutters.
• Settings → EPG Timeshift: adjust if guide times are offset from your local time.
• Settings → Automation: enable automatic EPG and channel list updates.
• Use the parental control option to lock adult or unwanted categories.

Using an M3U Playlist Instead of Xtream Codes

Both apps also accept an M3U link. In TiviMate choose M3U playlist; in IPTV Smarters choose Load Your Playlist or File/URL. Paste the full link, then add the EPG URL separately if the guide does not appear automatically. Xtream Codes is still preferred because it handles categories, on-demand content and the guide in one step.

Getting the Most Out of the On-Demand Library

Both apps separate live TV from movies and series. In IPTV Smarters, the Movies and Series tiles open the Eagle IPTV on-demand library with posters, descriptions and resume points. In TiviMate, on-demand content appears in its own sections of the menu once the Xtream Codes playlist has loaded.

• Use search instead of scrolling through long category lists.
• Add titles to Favourites to build your own watchlist.
• Resume playback is saved per device, so continue on the same screen.
• Select subtitles and audio tracks from the player menu where available.

Using Both Apps on Different Devices

Many households use TiviMate on the main TV and IPTV Smarters on phones or laptops. That works perfectly with Eagle IPTV — just remember that every device playing at the same time counts towards your plan's limit. A 2-device plan suits one TV plus one mobile, while families with several TVs usually choose 3 or 4 devices.

Keeping Your Setup Secure

• Do not post screenshots that show your username, password or server address.
• Download apps only from official stores or the developer's official site.
• If you think your details have been shared, contact support to have them changed.

Common Setup Errors and Quick Fixes

• Invalid login / authorisation failed — re-type the username and password carefully; they are case sensitive.
• Cannot connect to server — check the URL includes http:// and the correct port.
• EPG is empty — refresh the guide manually and wait a few minutes.
• Too many connections — another device is using your account; close it or upgrade to a multi-device plan on the pricing page.
